have some fun it will be okay
enjoy the thrill of the steepest hill
Though be very careful for a hill can kill
climb up the ladder, add the Christmas lights
place them on the gutter on the roof up high
protect the footing so the ladder won’t slide
if not go lower for less thrilly glide
Wrap your presents on Christmas Eve
with a bottle of whisky and some songs to sing
dance all evening way into the night
ring bells for the children, give them a fright
On Christmas Day, have fun in any way
Enjoy your Christmas dinner, with all who stay
when the day is over tidy your house
remove the decorations as quiet as a mouse
New year arrives as quickly as it’s gone
a brand new start from where it has come
light the kindled fire with freshly cut sticks
