The little rabbit, travelling alonescampered off towards his home
hiding behind a bush from the bad weather
caught by a net, wrapped in a tether
Foxy came approaching, licking his lips
in heightened panic, giving the net a slip
escaping really fast from the mean old fox
running so quick, tripping over a box
he fell inside it, down a hill with a slither
sliding on and on, then into a river
the box began to float, little rabbit did quiver
feeling so cold he began to shiver
scared and alone he heard a familiar scream
little rabbits face, could not help but beam
Glancing. his mummy, the saddest frown seen
she shouted “Little rabbit, where have you been”
little rabbit replied
“running and slipping, falling and floating”
“escaping a fox by river and boating”
mummy grabbed little rabbit, she held him tight
saying -
“enough of the stories; it’s time for good night”
little rabbit had supper then climbed into bed
excited by the adventure but soundly he slept
dreaming of the moment he escaped the fox
floating in the river on the tripped over box.
